the room was neat, but the fact that windows can’t be opened was certainly quite stifling. also, forgot to clean my room for two days, which was an unbearable experience. frankly, an upgrade woudl ve been deserved considering the circumstances. absolutely could’ve been a good review if it weren’t for these glaring issues.

I was disappointed to find that housekeeping no longer provides daily service, which made the place feel unkempt. My room felt dark and claustrophobic with limited natural light, which detracted from the experience. Additionally, I noticed the coffee options were inadequate, which was a letdown compared to what I expected from a hotel of this caliber.

Ideal for solo travelers seeking peace

My stay was for 7 nights, and I honestly can't stress enough how fantastic the breakfast buffet was, they had everything! ! From fresh salads to delicious smoothies, it felt like heaven every morning. Plus, the location couldn't be better, right across from a beautiful park, I could just step out and breathe the fresh air surrounded by cherry blossoms!

It wasn’t exactly a bargain, but for what you get, I’d say it’s acceptable.

The King Room was super cozy, and I loved the relaxing sauna after a long day. There’s also a big gym and a lovely sun terrace where you can unwind. A minor hiccup was a motion sensor light in the bathroom that went off at night, but just closing the door fixed it! 😊

The location allowed me to explore the city easily. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast each morning with a delightful variety of options. On one morning, I even tried a smoothie recipe that became my favorite. The fitness center was available when I wanted to work out, and the sauna provided a nice way to unwind.

The seating arrangement at breakfast became an issue when it was busy, as many guests weren't willing to share tables. Also, the internet connection was inconsistent at times.

I loved that the location was convenient, being close to tram stations and various attractions. The front desk staff provided excellent service, offering luggage storage when we arrived early. Breakfast featured an impressive range of options that I looked forward to each morning, especially the fresh salads and smoothies, which made for a great start to the day.

Staying at Scandic was a truly excellent experience. The room was spacious and cleverly designed with a unique system to hang clothes on the wall. Breakfast featured a wide array of options, including meats, cheeses, eggs, and freshly made spreads. The location was perfect, just steps away from historical sites and the central train station, making it easy to explore Helsinki. Hot water and good water pressure in the shower added to the comfort of the stay.

The coffee selections could be improved.
